Assist team members on various IT-related projects or day-to-day tasks.
Diagnose complex network problems and implement corrective solutions.
Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot various infrastructure components such as LANs, WANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi networks, servers, routers/firewalls, switches, and battery backups.
Work with infrastructure/security teams to track vulnerabilities, apply remediations and patches to network and server assets.
Contribute to IT knowledgebase with detailed documentation of design and configuration information.
Maintain network diagrams.
Assist in annual disaster recovery planning and testing.
Provide proactive network/server monitoring to ensure optimum performance and acting on real-time alerting of critical issues.
Prompt response to system outages or service problems.
May require off-hours work.
Ability to be flexible with schedule, with some availability outside of normal business hours.
A strong IT Network Engineer will possess: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of Network/Systems Engineering experience.
Expertise in TCP/IP, VLANs, Ethernet, switching, routing, and routing protocols, DNS, in Cisco and Meraki systems.
Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as required.
Ability to succeed in both team and independent work environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft server operating systems, Active Directory & Domain architecture.
Experience with manufacturing processes and environments preferred.
Experience with industry standard infrastructure components such as HPE/Dell/Cisco UCS servers, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco Catalyst switches, Meraki/Ruckus Wireless Access Points, Dell/EMC SANs, Cisco/Avaya phone systems, and Veeam backup Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks Someone who can embrace our values of: Committed, Collaborative, Caring, Courageous, Curios and Competitive Safety at CNG: Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way Physical Work and Work Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
