_*ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:*_
The Data Systems Software Administrator supports all software programs maintained and used by the TRECA Digital Academy (TDA) Systems team and staff.
Software programs include but are not limited to Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), Instructional Improvement Systems, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and multiple instructional subscription services.
This position is responsible for supporting all software packages maintained by the TDA Systems team, troubleshooting user issues, data / report management and providing training / support resources to staff.
_*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:*_
● Assist with the day to day functions provided by the TDA Data Systems group:
* Collaborate with the TDA Director of Data Systems regarding the direction of the TDA SIS and bolt-on products.
* Troubleshoot and assist staff with software issues.
* Repair data anomalies as directed/as necessary.
* Communicate with staff via required organizational communication systems any issues that need publicized.
* Perform the duties required to resolve issues received via telephone, email or the TDA Helpdesk software.
* Work with the TDA team to address partner issues in a timely manner.
* Design and develop reports using SSRS and Visualizations (Viz’s) using Tableau or other BI tools.
● Vendor Relations:
* Participate in vendor calls.
* Work with all TDA software vendors on issues that need to be resolved.
* Post issues to the vendor's helpdesk site and prioritize where needed on behalf of TDA.
* Represent TDA in vendor user conferences, State of Ohio User groups and trainings.
● Data Management:
* Develop, learn and support all bolt-on products to the TDA SIS and TDA LMS programs.
* Assist EMIS with researching issues.
* Report issues with SIS to the development team via JIRA or other software tools
* Assist the Senior Data Systems Administrator by create scripts to schedule and automate processes
* Assist the Senior Data Systems Administrator with monitoring systems, servers and critical applications
● Coordinate, plan, and develop trainings and documentation for the TDA and TDA Partner staff.
● Provide clear and complete documentation when assisting with the development of software.
● Participate in appropriate training and professional development.
● Apply comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects.
● Interface daily with all required organizational communication systems.
● Assist with state testing as needed.
●Perform any and all related duties as assigned.
_*QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:*_
● Minimum Associate’s degree or commensurate experience
● Bachelor’s degree preferred
● Must reside in Ohio
● Previous experience developing training processes and procedures
● Knowledge of and experience with a wide variety of educational software products
* Certification or training preferred
● Experience troubleshooting application issues
● Demonstrable experience with SSRS or other report development tool
● Demonstrable experience with SQL
● Demonstrable experience with Tableau or other BI tools
● Strong listening and communication skills (verbal and written)
● Ability to work with team members, school staff, and educational entities
● Able to multitask and handle multiple tasks effectively
● Efficient and effective in meeting deadlines with accurate information
● Completes tasks independently
● Is discreet and recognizes importance of maintaining confidentiality when handling or conveying information obtained in work setting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,000.
