If you're up for the challenge and want to be part of something truly cool, apply now and let's make sure these vessels are chillin' with perfection! *What to Expect: * As a dedicated and experienced NDT Inspector, you will be assisting the manufacturing team by assisting in expediting pressured vessel parts.
You will be part of a global inspection team ensuring the quality of cryogenic pressure vessels for our client, a global energy leader sourcing from suppliers in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client need and each supplier’s production schedule.
You will play a crucial role in monitoring the progress of pressure vessel production, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and promptly reporting any issues or delays.
This part-time contract position spans approximately 2 months, requiring one day per week of on-site presence.
*What You'll Do:* * Conduct weekly on-site visits to the designated facility to monitor the progress of cryogenic pressure vessel production.
* Utilize the supplier-provided tracker to track installation progress and ensure alignment with project timelines.
* Walk the production floor to visually inspect work-in-progress (WIP) and identify any deviations from specifications.
* Take photos of production processes and components to document progress and ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Review the "spool tracker" data to verify the accuracy of installation progress and address any discrepancies.
* Collaborate with the client's production team to resolve any quality issues and ensure timely project completion.
*What You'll Need: * * Knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) and weld inspection experience to assess the quality of workmanship.
* Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in pressure vessel production.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics to assess part conformity and identify potential issues.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
* Experience with weld inspection procedures and familiarity with ASME Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) requirements.
* Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to detect discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of progress reports.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to address issues and drive solutions.
* Flexibility to travel to the designated facility in Columbus, Ohio, for one day per week for the duration of the project.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $27.
