Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble various components according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, metal studs, and roofing materials
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, metal, roofing materials or other construction materials
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete installations accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and building codes
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Experience with frame carpentry and roof installations
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
- Ability to estimate construction materials needed for projects accurately
- Capable of lifting heavy objects and working in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of siding installation techniques
- Basic welding skills would be a plus
