Cleveland-Cliffs, Mansfield Works has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Engineer.
The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for planning and implementing engineering projects related to new capital improvements or equipment upgrade, investigating mechanical problems and developing technical solutions.
Summary of Responsibilities: Manage capital project activities including appropriation request, project estimates, engineering design and specifications, bidding specifications, installation, etc.
Work with consulting firms, suppliers, construction/maintenance contractors Perform engineering investigations, corrective actions, and implementation of mechanical problems Participate in the planning and coordination of plant shutdown activities Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering 5 years of experience in an industrial environment Engineering and mechanical knowledge; and experience in determining malfunctions of mechanical equipment or devices Preferred Qualifications: Experience in melting/steelmaking Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
