Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Hanger to join our team.
As a Drywall Hanger, you will be responsible for installing drywall panels and preparing surfaces for finishing.
This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties:
- Measure and cut drywall panels to fit specific dimensions
- Install drywall panels using appropriate tools and techniques
- Secure drywall panels to framing using screws or nails
- Apply joint compound to seams and smooth out any imperfections
- Sand and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth texture
- Repair damaged or cracked drywall as needed
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as painters or carpenters, to complete projects on time and within budget
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Drywall Hanger or similar role
- Proficient in fixture installation, water damage restoration, construction estimating, stucco, caulking, frame carpentry, remodeling, airless paint spraying, tile laying, and construction painting
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time
