As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Inventory Manager to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee and manage our inventory levels, purchase order creation, and component building processes.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in inventory management, strong negotiation skills, and a good understanding of the construction industry, particularly in shed manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure efficient operations and optimal stock levels.
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely procurement of necessary materials.
- Build out manufacturing batches and create components in alignment with production schedules.
- Regularly communicate with vendors to update pricing, lead times, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Exercise common sense and good judgment in executing simple job tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate records to support production and sales activities.
- Leverage knowledge of construction, particularly shed manufacturing, to improve inventory management processes and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing sector.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of building productive relationships with vendors and team members.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of construction principles, especially related to shed manufacturing, is highly desirable.
- Ability to physically count inventory and assess materials as needed.
