Inventory Clerk

Overview: Piston Automotive in Marion, Ohio is seeking a dedicated Inventory Clerk to serve as admin assistance for the Materials Department within our fast paced automotive assembly facility.
The Inventory Clerk is a customer facing position requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
The individual will coordinate and plan the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies through the manufacturing facility.
This position will monitor supplier releases daily and will follow up with suppliers when past due for Piston released material.
This position will also schedule weekly service and production requirements, corresponding with trucking companies to ensure on time shipments.
This position will also assist with physical inventory activities.
Responsibilities: Interface with buyers at our customer locations.
Processing customer and supplier releases (830 and 862), including service orders.
Interface with logistics provider on freight routes and shipping schedules.
Prepare and review daily reports.
Support Program Management on Engineering Changes and upcoming launch activities.
Update management on a proactive basis for any potential material issues.
Follow the Escalation Process.
Create Jobs for Production Boards.
Create ASN for Honda’s order numbers.
Provide shipping team with proper documents with shipping plans.
This includes 850 orders and 862 orders.
Qualifications: (2) years of experience in logistics.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong interpersonal/customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
