*Job description*
The CNC Sales/Estimator is responsible for providing customer quotations that result in profitable sales revenue to the company.
Estimator/Job Planner must understand CNC machining practices and the necessary tooling needed.
This position requires a person that has intuition and experience with various materials, competitive pricing and outside processes.
Must have experience & proficiency with software that is specific to the Precision Machining industry.
*Duties*
* Estimates part costs in E2/Costimator (ERP System) based on customer requirements
* Develop understanding of process types to increase sales growth and profitability.
* Review customer drawing specifications to evaluate machine capabilities to part requirements
* Communicate with customers on machine shop quotations, and projects.
* Verifies routing steps, process and documentation for accuracy.
* Answers questions from manufacturing
* Effectively communicate within all departments to ensure customer expectations are met.
* Controls various forms of documentation with paper and electronic files
* Solves problems as they arise
* Gather information on scope of work and requirements necessary for potential machine shop work.
* Determine manufacturing steps/processes, equipment requirements, programming requirements, setup operations, materials, labor, and other items necessary to perform work.
* Calculate production cost using established labor and overhead rates, raw material, and processing price estimates within E2 software system.
* Communicate with machine shop management and staff to understand/develop shop production plans, so proper quotations are established.
* Prepare formal price and delivery quotations for customers.
* Assist in preparation of work instructions for new/existing projects
*Requirements*
* Manufacturing experience
* Strong Computer Skills
* Strong Communications Skills both verbal and written
* 5+ years in machining
* Understanding of blueprints and quality standards and tolerances
* Strong math background
* Experience using a variety of measuring instruments
* Solid works experience
* Knowledge of raw materials
* Analytical
* Detail Oriented
* Process Oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.
00 - $65,000.
