SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The IT Technician is responsible for the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computers and related systems.
Performs installations, upgrades and backups of software and hardware applications.
This role troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to PCs.
The IT Technician may assist with troubleshooting of networks.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Select and install hardware/software as directed.
Maintain tracking of hardware assets and software licenses.
Day-to-day support of Citrix users, Server Maintenance, and equipment attached to the network (i.
e.
scan guns, access points, printers etc.
)
Perform end user adds/moves/changes for network/phone/mobile/voicemail
Perform system administration and maintenance.
Develop and implement performance monitoring to proactively resolve network performance problems.
Perform backup and restore activities as directed.
Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting and support of remote DMP locations.
Actively participate in improvement projects and waste reduction initiatives.
Lead infrastructure improvement projects as directed.
Suggest improvements to existing systems.
Provide input on new projects as appropriate.
Effectively communicate solutions to end-users as appropriate.
Provide a highly visible customer focus.
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in IT related field; or four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with network infrastructures including servers, operating systems, printers, firewalls, anti-virus solutions, routers, switches, communication systems, and UPSs.
Relevant industry Certifications (MCSE, CCNA, A+, Network+, etc.
), or progress towards, preferred
Proven customer service skills required
Working knowledge of Microsoft server and PC operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Citrix, Thin Clients, Exchange 2013, Server 2003, 2008, .
2012.
Knowledge of VMware helpful)
