Position Overview:
The Dometic Internship Program is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest.
Our program gives students the opportunity to collaborate with team members, to have a meaningful project that allows you to have impact, career exploration and development, to learn new skills, and get to know other interns.
The Materials Logistics Intern will complete the necessary functions of assigning locations for raw material storage.
The candidate must be able to analyze inventories and assign locations to best fit the needs of Manufacturing.
Locations will be assigned and recorded into BPCS to allow complete traceability from Receiving to Manufacturing.
This role will also create a Big Prairie S & OP for material transfers and training.
This role will report to the site Production Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Analyze inventories and assign locations for raw material storage
Assign and record locations into BPCS
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for material transfers and training
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Currently involved in an Engineering based continuing education.
Accuracy, attention to detail and task completion competencies
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Analyze current purchasing strategies for available raw material storage
Excellent documentation skills
Microsoft Office experience required
Basic math skills required
Strong keyboarding skills required
Willingness to learn ERP/MRP AS400 software
