*Job Description*
Assists the Supervisor by leading an assigned production line in achieving defined goals of safety, efficiency, delivery, and associate morale.
Position functions include, but are not limited to, those set forth below.
*Essential Functions* • Provides leadership and support to assigned work team members.
• Assigns workload to associates based on manpower needs and production schedule.
• Works with Materials department to schedule production lines.
• Communicates with department leaders and associates regarding results, issues, and changes.
• Ensures daily compliance to meet production goals.
• Trains associates on new tasks; follows up to ensure understanding and performance.
• Frequently reviews the training matrix and has current associates trained on new tasks in order to improve flexibility and safety.
• Paperwork administration includes production reports and various documents.
• Resolves issues related to production and quality; escalates issues to Coordinator as needed.
• Daily communication of section performance to Coordinators and Assistant Managers.
• Leads associate behavior in the areas of safety, quality, and policy and procedure.
adherence and general associate conduct.
• Takes appropriate measures to ensure a clean, and safe work area for associates; escalates concerns appropriately.
• May provide input regarding associate performance.
• May participate in cost-down activities.
• Monitors the shop floor to ensure 5S and YBQ practices are being followed.
• Other tasks as required by Management.
*Competencies * • Must be able to work successfully in a team environment.
• Must be reliable in attendance.
• Must be able to analyze performance of manufacturing lines and make informed decisions.
• Must have strong communication and training skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and operations manuals.
• Must be able to speak effectively before groups of managers or associates.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to deal with problems, involve a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn and perform technical tasks preferred.
• Ability to work closely with other team leaders and be a valued team member.
• General troubleshooting skills preferred.
*Supervisory Responsibilities * Provides leadership and direction to associates in a defined work area; may reassign the workload or schedule to accomplish production goals, or to accommodate a given situation.
*Qualifications* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

*Education and/or Experience * • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience and training preferred.

• Exposure to excessive heat from the manufacturing process.
• Exposure to excessive noise levels requires hearing protection.
• Requires long periods of time standing, bending, walking, and climbing stairs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
*Work Environment * The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
• Protective eyewear, including side-shields must be worn in the plant at all times.
• Steel-toed shoes must be worn at all times in the plant.
• Other PPE as determined by job requirements.
• Primary environment: cold or warm temperatures according to outside weather conditions.
• Regular shifts are 40 hours per week.
Overtime as required to meet the needs of production.
Note: The company has a mandatory overtime policy that may include Saturday, Sunday, and Holiday work.
• Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
• Must hold and maintain current driver's license.
• Must be able to travel to other Yachiyo American Region facilities.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
