*Job Description* *3rd Shift* Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares finished goods for shipment.
Loads trailers using forklift equipment.
Position functions include, but are not limited to, those set forth below.
*Essential Functions* * Provides direction and support to shipping and receiving staff; includes training, coaching and feedback based on performance measures.
* Provides direction and support to line supply staff; includes training, coaching and feedback based on performance measures.
* Verifies outgoing shipments for accuracy and timely delivery.
* Uses forklift and other industrial equipment to load and unload trucks, boxcars, etc.
* Uses “Scanner” devices to ensure inventory accuracy.
* Prepares all shipping documents in a timely and accurate manner.
* Verifies accuracy and condition of incoming goods; takes appropriate action on damaged goods.
* Maintains inventory accuracy by pulling from correct locations.
* Operates EDI System.
* Utilizes MRP system to receive product, control inventory, and pick parts for internal use and for customer shipments.
* Communicate with customers to ensure requirements are being met.
* Ensures all material associates are performing processes correctly.
* Performs training on processes and forklift operation.
* Maintains training records.
* Verifies forklift and yard tractor safety check sheets.
* Schedules maintenance for forklifts and dock equipment.
* Maintains clean and safe work environment for all material service associates.
* May be asked to provide input on associate performance for purposes of performance reviews.
* May provide data for Business Plans, Departmental Budgets and Management Review.
* May participate in Cost-down activities.
* Other tasks as required by Management.
* Must be reliable in attendance and work successfully in a team environment.

* Must have basic understanding of energy conservation and proper waste disposal and recycling.
* Must have a thorough understand of shipping and receiving processes.
* Requires strong communication and training skills.
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, business correspondence and memos.
* Ability to write simple documents and correspondence.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
* Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point) and various Inventory Control programs.
*Supervisory Responsibilities* Provides leadership and direction to associates in a defined work area; may reassign the workload or schedule to accomplish production goals, or to accommodate a given situation.

*Education and/or Experience* * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to talk or hear at moderate to loud noise levels.
* The associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

*Work Environment* The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.

*Inventory Management*.
* The performance of this position requires frequent exposure to the manufacturing areas that may require the use of personal protective equipment such as ear, eye, head and foot.
* Primary environment: cold or warm work temperatures according to outside weather conditions; sometimes extreme cold or warm conditions apply.
* Work near moving mechanical parts.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.
